“This hike was amazing from start to finish. Aleksandra, our guide, was funny, patient, accommodating and made the entire group feel safe so that we could enjoy the terrain of this amazing path. Fortunately, we had perfect weather for our hike, but keeping an eye on the forecast is a must since weather can change quickly. The guide made sure we knew that she was watching the weather closely not only the day of but days prior.”

We skipped trying the zip line to hike along the Soča river-definately worth it. The Soča valley was also very beautiful. It was a great last memory of Slovenia!”

Travel from Bled to Pokljuka Plateau, then hike with an English-speaking mountain guide to 2,014-meter Debela Peč. Expect about 5 to 6 hours on foot, broad views of Lake Bled and the Julian Alps, photo stops, and a traditional Slovenian meal at a mountain hut. Fit children can join.

“Amazing hike with two lovely guides! It was our first time hiking in snow but they were really reassuring and well prepared for the hike. The views on the way up and at the top was magnificent! The trail started off easy and got harder towards the top but it was worth the effort. We stopped by a hut halfway and had a hearty meal (big portion!). The guy manning the hut was very friendly as well and gave us homemade bread and cake! This was the main highlight of our trip and though it was moderately challenging, we will highly recommend this to beginners who are fit and adventurous!…”
